Prior to your treatment
Please download the new patient form and fill it out prior to your initial visit. If you are unable to do so, please arrive 15 minutes early for your initial visit to complete the new patient form. Eat a light meal an hour prior to your acupuncture visits and wear loose, comfortable clothing.
During your treatment
Your treatment will begin with a discussion about your health history, concerns, and goals. After your initial intake you'll move on to the treatment table to have your tongue and pulses assessed. The health history, tongue assessment, and pulse reading all lead to a Chinese medical diagnosis and treatment plan. The acupuncture needle retention lasts 20-30 minutes and is a time for you to find deep relaxation while the treatment regulates imbalances in the body. Megan will be happy to address any questions or concerns you have during your treatment. The initial appointment can last about and hour and a half to two hours.
Follow up
Follow up acupuncture treatments typically last one hour and begins with an assessment of any changes since the last treatment. The frequency of your acupuncture visits will be determined based on your condition and health care goals. We will look in depth at your diet and nutrition and suggest overall lifestyle recommendations such as exercise plans, essential oil applications, and herbal or supplement usage. We encourage proactive participation and positive self-care between your visits; this will enhance your acupuncture treatments and help you meet your healthcare goals.
Scheduling
Scheduling can be done by calling (828) 989-9229 or by email HealingFromWithinAcu@gmail.com. Appointments can be canceled or rescheduled easily with at least 24 hour notice. If you are unable to give at least 24 hour notice, you will be charged the full treatment cost. If you feel like you need to reschedule your appointment due to illness, please call directly—we can discuss whether or not it is beneficial for you to come, because acupuncture can support you in illness and in health.

Please contact us directly to discuss treatments costs and payment options. Healing From Within Acupuncture is motivated to provide care for those who need it. We accept credit, cash and checks and there will be a $25 fee for any returned checks.
